I am a painting, textile and mixed media artist whose practice explores how invisible experiences can be translated into tangible visual forms. Working with textiles, embroidery, painting materials, mineral pigments and found objects, I investigate the relationships between time, memory, family, nature and the unseen structures that shape human life.

 

My work is deeply informed by Chinese cosmology, particularly the systems of Yin–Yang, the Five Elements, and the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches. Rather than treating these traditions as systems of prediction, I approach them as visual and philosophical frameworks through which abstract ideas can be materialised. Birth dates, life cycles, personal relationships and moments of loss become compositions of colour, form and rhythm, revealing hidden patterns that connect individual experience with broader natural processes.

 

Many of my works begin with deeply personal experiences—family histories, love, separation, grief, dreams and remembrance. These moments are not presented as autobiography alone, but transformed into universal reflections on care, resilience and the invisible bonds that exist between people across generations, cultures and time.

 

Slow handcraft is central to my practice. Through stitching, layering and the transformation of overlooked materials, I seek to make the intangible visible. I believe that the most profound aspects of human existence are often those that cannot be measured or fully explained, yet continue to shape how we remember, relate and imagine our place within the world.

 

My practice ultimately asks how ancient philosophies and contemporary lived experiences can coexist within a shared visual language, inviting viewers to reconsider the unseen forces that connect humanity with nature, memory and one another.
