Between Two Worlds

2024 - Present

Since moving from China to the United Kingdom in November 2024, I have found myself standing between two worlds. Everything that once felt familiar—my language, daily rhythms, cultural references, and artistic network—suddenly belonged to the past. Entering a completely new environment brought not only profound changes to my life, but also one of the most challenging periods of my artistic practice.

For a time, making work became slower and more uncertain. I was learning how to live again while learning how to create within an unfamiliar culture. Yet I never stopped making. Rather than waiting for stability to return, I chose to continue creating alongside the process of adaptation.

The works presented here document this transition. They reflect a dialogue between memory and the present, between Eastern philosophies that have long informed my practice and the new experiences that continue to reshape it. Each piece marks a step in rebuilding both my life and my artistic language.
